What Rush Said February 25, 2011: Obama = Nero

In context of discussion about questionable Obama responses to events in Libya - after a caller expressed dismay at the fact the White House was holding a Motown celebration while the Middle East is, "going to hell in a hand-basket," the discussion turned to the seemingly excessive amounts of parties and vacations the First Family has. The comparison to the phrase about ancient Roman ruler Nero was made by EIB* staff. That of the legendary situation of Nero fiddling** while Rome burned. Rush provided an ancient history lesson, remarking, according to the tale, that Nero set the fire, then played a fiddle while Rome burned. Rush further explained that Nero wanted to rebuild Rome in his image. He left the Obama-is-like-Roman-Emperor-Nero comparison there for the audience to draw their own own conclusions.

Just a quick highlight that came up at the end of the program. Rush said, that maybe we can get Mubarak to get Obama to step down. Funny.
